Since P805L in the P gene product and S167L in the S gene product were not identified in the reported subgenotype C2 HBV strains (deposited in the DDBJ/EMBL/GenBank databases as of July 2014), these two amino acid substitutions are likely to be unique to the P1–090725 isolate obtained in the present study.
