Evidence To determine whether the activity of 3711 in decreasing HBV RNA encapsidation was related to the presence of the Pol/pgRNA complex, we generated plasmids expressing a Pol deletion mutant and a Pol mutant with a Y63F amino acid substitution which was defective in RT activity but retained RNA binding ability (42).
